Why CTR Roofing

Roofers you can check up on.

Before you book

New roof questions

Straight answers to what Waikato homeowners and builders ask us most.

Updated October 2026

How much does a new roof cost?

It depends on the roof's area, pitch, access, the profile you choose and whether new spouting is included. For a new build we price from your plans. For a re-roof, Corey measures on site. Either way you get a written, itemised quote. For typical Waikato price ranges, see our roof cost guide.

Can you quote from my building plans?

Yes. Send the roof plan and elevations, plus the profile and colour if they're specified. If they're not decided yet, we'll help you choose. Rather talk it through on site? We'll arrange a visit.

Do I need building consent for a new roof?

On a new build or extension, the roof is part of your building consent. Replacing a roof like for like usually doesn't need one. Going from tiles to steel, or changing the structure, can be different, and Corey will tell you at the measure.

Who actually installs the roof?

Corey's own crew, on every job. We don't use subbies. Our installers hold LBP Roofing licences, and on every consented job we supply the Record of Work for your council file.

When can you start?

Your start date is in your written quote, and we give you a realistic finish date up front. We work right through winter and only stop for serious storms.

What warranty do I get?

A 10-year workmanship warranty from us, in writing, plus the COLORSTEEL® manufacturer's warranty on the steel. The steel warranty's length depends on your site, and we'll spell it out in your quote.

Which areas do you cover?

Hamilton, Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Hauraki and the wider Waikato, including rural properties. Outside that? Ask anyway. If we're not the right crew, we'll say so.
