- What will my re-roof cost?
- It comes down to your roof, so I won't guess over the phone. The big factors are size and pitch, access, what's coming off (iron or tiles), and how many chimneys, skylights and flues there are. I measure for free and your quote is itemised, so you can see where every dollar goes.
- How soon can you start?
- Your start date comes with your written quote, so you know exactly when we're booked in before you say yes.
- How long does it take?
- Most homes take one to two weeks, depending on size and weather. You'll get a start date and a realistic finish date up front.
- Can you replace my tiles with steel?
- Yes. Long-run steel is a lot lighter than concrete tiles, which takes weight off your house frame. I'll check what's involved for your home when I measure.
- Do I need building consent?
- Usually not when you're replacing like-for-like. Going from tiles to steel or changing the structure can be different, and I'll tell you at the measure and talk you through it.
- Which colours and profiles can I choose?
- The full COLORSTEEL® range. I bring real samples to the measure, because no screen gets colour quite right, and I'll talk you through which profile suits your house.
- What if it rains halfway through?
- We plan each day around the forecast and make sure your home is closed in and watertight before we pack up. We work right through winter and only stop for serious storms.
- Can we stay home while you work?
- Yes, most people do. It's noisy during the day, but you won't need to move out.
- Who actually does the work?
- My own crew. No subbies and no middleman. Every job runs through me, and I'm a RANZ-accredited Licensed Building Practitioner with 15+ years in Waikato roofing.
- What warranty do I get?
- Our 10-year workmanship warranty in writing, plus the COLORSTEEL® material warranty. Material terms depend on things like how close you are to the coast, and I'll explain yours.
- Do you cover my area?
